Oct 08, 2019· Hi, I am in the process of choosing a milling machine for hobby use. Mainly milling aluminium, and occasional mild steel. I intend to convert it to CNC in the future. Part of the reason for wanting to do this is to have a useful tool, much of the reason is the learning exercise. Space in my garage is limited so I am only looking at small bench top machines.

May 03, 2017· I was originally just going to upgrade to the warco 18 mill but then when I read up on machine torque and how it works in relation to motor speed made me realise this would be a bad decision. I noticed warco do a gearhead version of the 18 model of the mill and would welcome any feedback on this as it only has a 1hp motor.
